Underwood Students Make Bread

Underwood students in 3rd through 7th grade learned about baking on Tuesday, December 6th. Paula Gray from the King Arthur Flour Company taught a lesson on making bread from scratch.   Justin Mark and Morgan Evavold assisted as chefs and showed how easy it is to mix up a batch of dough.  Each student in grades 3 - 7 took home four pounds of flour, yeast, a cookbook, and a dough scraper so that they could make bread or rolls or pizza crust at home.  It was a fun lesson on math, science, baking, and reading!
