Schoology is an online communication and networking site that some teachers used last year. For this year, all teachers of grades 7 - 12 will use it as a way to inform parents and students about what is happening in their classes.
Through it, you will be able to see when your student has an upcoming quiz, test, or project. Teachers may possibly post any handout that is given to the students.
In order to use it, you need to sign up for an account then use a Parent Access Code for each of your students.
Step 1 : Go to www.schoology.com and choose "SIGN UP" as a Parent.
Step 2 : You will then be asked to put in a Parent Access Code. Where do you get the Parent Access Code? Go to the end of this page.
Step 3 : Once you do that, complete the registration.
Step 4 : When the registration is complete, look to the left and you'll see "My Children". This will give you access to your student's Summary and Calendar. We won't be using the Grades and Attendance as that is handled in Synergy - ParentVUE.
Step 5 : If you have more than one student, look to the upper right to see "Add Child". Simply click on that and type in the Parent Access Code for the next student.
Step 6 : Be sure to make your choices for Notifications, Account Settings, and Privacy Settings.
Step 7 : Check out the Schoology Parent Guide.
Step 1 : Log into Synergy - ParentVUE. If you can't log into Synergy - ParentVUE, please contact Cindy by calling the office (826-6101) or emailing her at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Step 2 : Select a child then click on Student Info.
Step 3 : Look to the lower left for "Schoology". That is the Parent Access Code for that student.
