American High School Honors Choir
Congratulations to Karin Mortenson of the Underwood High School Concert Choir! Karin has been accepted to be a participant in the 2012 American High School Honors Performance Series at Carnegie Hall in New York City. Through vocal audition she has been selected to represent the finest high school performers in North America with a performance at Carnegie Hall. Acceptance to this elite group is a direct result of the talent, dedication, and achievements demonstrated in her vocal audition and application. In preparation for her performance, over the next months she will receive her performance repertoire and practice notes from the conductor. Karin will travel to New York City for her performance in February. Here she will have the opportunity to learn from Dr. Jeffery Ames, work with the other honors choir finalists, get a taste of New York City and most importantly, perform at Carnegie Hall. Underwood choral Director Dana Flint, members of the Sr. High Concert Choir, and the Underwood community are so proud of her accomplishment.
