​BATC - Housing First
Due April 1, 2019
BATC Housing first Minnesota Scholarships are for graduating Seniors who are residents of Minnesota or plan to work in Minnesota in the construction industry.  The scholarship selections will give priority to those seeking to learn a construction related trade.  This includes carpentry, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.  Applications can be found in the school library or at www.BATC.org/page/scholarships

Sunrise Rotary Club Performing Arts Scholarship
Application due on April 1, 2019
The Sunrise Rotary Club of Fergus Falls is offering a $750 Scholarship to recognize the accomplishments of an area high school senior who has excelled in the arts.  Applicant must plan to pursue a college education but a major in the arts is not required.  Applicant has demonstrated a willingness to share artistic abilities and talents to better one's community and has demonstrated a a positive attitude and is an example of good citizenship.
Applications are in the school library.  


David H Beighley Memorial Scholarship
The Beighley Family and Minnesota West Ottertail Darkhouse and Angling Association have established a memorial scholarship in the amount of $1000 in the name of David H Beighley.  The scholarship is open to all graduating seniors who are planning to attend any type of college (2 or 4 years).  Preference will be given to students entering a field related to natural resources but will not be limited to only those students.  If you wish to apply the applications are in the school library. 

The Friends of Lake Region Healthcare 
Applications due by April 12, 2019
This is a one time $1000 scholarship given to students who are pursuing a healthcare related career.  Students need a GPA of 2.5 or higher to qualify.  The scholarship committee will award scholarships of $1000 based on need and academic ability.  Scholarship recipients will be given their scholarship monies once he/she has successfully completed one quarter or one semester of the course where at least 12 credits were taken at an accredited school.

Russell Jensen Scholarship
Due April 15, 2019
The Russell Jensen scholarship awards $250 to a student going into the electrical field which will allow them to remain and serve in the rural area.  Applications can be found in the school library.  

​Lillian Saure Nursing Scholarship
Due May 15, 2019
The Pioneer Care Auxiliary is pleased to sponsor an educational scholarship for community members and employees of PioneerCare who plan to advance in health care career and are enrolled in a related degree or certificate program such as: Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse.  
Applications are in the school library.

Women in Public Finance
Application due by May 31, 2019
The Minnesota Chapter of Women in Public Finance operates a scholarship program that allocates at least $5000 annually.  To qualify applicants must be a female, college bound student in the Fall of 2019.  Have at lease a 3.0 GPA and exhibit leadership skills through extracurricular activities, volunteer positions, internships and/or other work experience.  They must also indicate an interest in pursuing a public finance related career in finance, government, nonprofits, banking or law.
Applications can be found in the school library.

SCHOLARSHIP TIPS 

Tip #1:  Have you talked to your church, insurance agent, bank,or your parents' place of employment yet?  Those are all excellentresources for scholarships. 

Tip #2:  You never know what you are capable of unless you try -don’t be the student that later regrets not going for it and giving ittheir all.

Tip #3:  If you are going to apply, do a good job.  Theperson/people reviewing it won’t spend time trying to understand yourhandwriting and will know if you took your time on it.

Tip #4:  DON’T LIMIT YOURSELF TO THIS LIST!
