Your Vote, Our Students’ Future
With roots in the 19th century, Underwood Public School was one of the first school districts in Otter Tail County, and we have been proud to be an example of strong, rural education to our community. Today we have more than 500 students across grades K-12, where our learners are given the foundation to launch toward lifelong success.
However, after a series of constricting budget reductions and declining enrollment, Underwood Public School needs additional, stable funding support to continue delivering quality education and programming for its students.
With a new state funding program, the school district could be eligible for significant state support if voters approve an operating levy.
If approved by district voters in November, the funding will bring more state dollars back to Underwood School, sustain educational opportunities, and maintain the district’s strong reputation for serving students and attracting families.
Residents will get the final say on November 3.
